TT 2025: Suzuki, Honda Continuity For 130 Mph Club Member Anderson

Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix winner, 130 Mph Club member Shaun Anderson, TT 2025 foray sees him stick with the same Suzuki, Honda machines he rode within last year’s TT Races.

For the third successive TT, the Banbridge rider is astride Team Classic Suzuki apparatus for Superbike, Senior contests.

Speaking today about competing again for Steve Wheatman’s multi–Classic TT winning squad, he said:

“The Team Classic boys, they’ve heavily invested in the bike in the off season, few upgraded parts, the bikes been away to see some Motec specialists.

We also have some chassis upgrades we hope to test, last couple of years we’ve been using a Harris swingarm, we have the option this year of a Suter swingarm. So, it allows us to have some additional geometry options going to the TT.

Our testing program is due to kick off in the next couple of few weeks, hopefully when fairer weather comes.”

Superstock competition wise, Anderson has the support again of former TT rider, rally driver Kiaran Hankin, piloting his KH Hire Fireblade Honda.

Hoping to gain extra mileage in the run up to TT race expeditions, Anderson (personal best TT lap speed – 130.703 mph) is keen to in his own words “show a bit more promise on it this year”.

His first outing aboard the KH Hire Honda, is this weekend at the North East Motorcycle Racing Club season curtain raiser at Croft.

In terms of 2025 Supersport TT action, Anderson hopes to eek out more performance on the Butterfields of Skipton GSX-R 750 Suzuki, building on thirteenth, eleventh place finishes in 2024.

“The engine is away-been refreshed at the minute, we also have a mectronik specialist helping us.

Because last year, was the first time we had run a next generation Supersport bike, the understandings of the mectronik ECU, which is the control ECU for Supersport, was I would say in our elementary stage of understanding it, how to get the best out of it.

So, we have Felix from IDM, to help us, maximise that bike and help us push further.

There is a bit more to come, Jim Hind has proved the potential of the GSX-R 750, the bike should be a little more potent around the Isle of Man this year.”
