New day, new TT 2025 start number news, this time descending upon the three-wheeling fraternity.
There’s a twist though whilst ten crews have received their start numbers, they won’t be seeded as starting positions on the road, will be achieved via their leader-board standings across qualifying week.
In essence this means any of the 1-10 plate holders, could be first to get the tap on the shoulder in the 3wheeling.media title sponsored Sidecar races.
As previously reported, last year’s race victors x2 the Crowe brothers Ryan & Callum, hold the No.1 plate.
For the third successive year, Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley (AWB Engineering – DDM Honda) are assigned the two-plate.
Now the three-plate carrier, the second most successful Sidecar driver in event history, Ben Birchall (Hager – Louis Christen Racing Honda), TT 2025 exploration sees him compete aside a new passenger in Patrick Rosney, taking over from Kevin Rousseau.
Numbers four, five on the entry-list, have been assigned to Team ARC’s Lee Crawford/Scott Hardie, Dave Holden Racing’s Lewis Blackstock with TT debutant Oscar Lawrence joining him, replacing the above-showcased Patrick Rosney.
Six-plate holders are World Championship royalty, top eight finishers on debut in 2024, Todd Ellis/quickest female Sidecar TT racer of all-time, Emmanuelle Clement.
Oliver’s Mount Racing sponsored, father and son duo, the Ramsdens Steve & Matty follow at seven.
Finalising those attaining numbers 1-10 are John Saunders/Vicky Cooke, Beverley’s Gary Gibson/Daryl Gibson and notable Mountain Course first-timer, 2018, 2020 British Champion Steve Kershaw/Rhys Gibbons.
Additional disclosed start numbers include George Holden/TBC (12), Dan Knight/Justin Sharp (16), Mick Donovan/Max Vasseur (19) and Wiggert Kranenburg/Kevin Kolsch (21).
