Gary Carswell Memorial Meeting – Roads Competitor Watch

Named in honour of 2004 Senior TT podium finisher Gary Carswell, the 2025 Gary Carswell Memorial Meeting edition (13th of April) enticed entries from numerous IOM roads scene speedsters.

As during last month’s Jurby Airfield season opener, the TT winning Crowe brothers Ryan & Callum were untouchable in the limited field Open Sidecar Championship races, which attracted just three entries with Stu Bainborough/Jake Roberts, David Marshall/Luke Galligan claiming second, third place finishes x2 behind the Crowes.

Michael Evans swooped Post Classics race wins, set a new class lap record of 1 minute 08.661 seconds.

Evans, the 2017 Junior & Senior Manx Grand Prix winner, is the five plate holder for the Super Twins races of TT 2025.

Paul Cassidy joined Evans in clinching on Sunday a new category lap record, acquiring on route to Lightweight Race Two glory, a record time of 1 minute 13.512 seconds.

The Cringle’s Jamie, 2025 Supersport TT encounters seed Ryan, took four wins in total with the siblings sharing Open Solos, middleweight race wins.

People’s Bike Team’s Grant Thomson accumulated pre-injection 600 wins x2 plus third place finishes from Supersport contests.
