TT 2025, post-race reactions edition three.
Opul Superstock Race:
Dean Harrison – reacting to been told his new TT podium finishes total of 35, takes him just two shy of Bruce Anstey’s TT rostrums tally, whom he’s always hugely respected.
“Yeah massively, to be honest I’ve never counted them to be honest with you, I didn’t know how many podiums we had, got five wins now which is nice.
But over the moon, shame Davey had an issue stop, starting in the pits, it obviously benefited me massively, but we had the pace from the start I feel.
So, we were always in with a chance, and I was going to take the fight to him because he’s normally the man to beat on the Superstock bike, but saying that we good the double this week, so I’m not complaining.”
“First time I’ve done a double which is unbelievable, feel quite good now, looking forward to finishing the race tomorrow, having a few jars with the boys I think!”
Entire Cover Insurance Super Twins Race:
Dominic Herbertson – post making it two Super Twin rostrum attainments, in successive TT’s.
“To get one podium at the TT is a lifetime achievement but to get two, the thing about this race is normally you have breakdowns and it’s such a clean race, each time now.
Super Twins, a couple of years ago you were just guessing it, who was doing what but now they’ve become so reliable, that’s due to the rule changes and it’s becoming good competitive racing, which makes it more difficult to get a win but that’s what it’s all about.”
Davey Todd – happy with taking the Milenco by Padgetts Paton, to second within the second Super Twins race exploration.
“I’m stoked with that one, it’s not often that I’m often happy with P2. Absolutely spewing after that Superstock race earlier today, just felt like it got ripped away from me, a race that we should be winning, so was absolutely gutted but also at the same time really fired up for that one.
Arm was a little bit sore, clipped the wall coming through Glen Helen in that stock race, feeling a bit second hand but you know what got back on the bike and I didn’t notice it, the adrenalin gets going and you forget about it.
I felt good, I rode the Milenco by Padgetts Paton a lot harder in that one, tried to get the most out of it, Clive made some improvements, and we got the most out of it we possibly could, could use a few more mph out the machine, like the factory bike but we’ll keep working.”
Going onto express confidence of a stern defence of his Senior race crown, he disclosed:
“I’m already fired up for the last one, I got the first Superbike race, I want the Senior. I’ve got a man in my ear, he’s been really helping me a lot all week, McGuinness (John – MBE), he’s been awesome, he keeps drilling into me, that I know which ones to win, I want the big bike races, keeps telling me to make sure I’m right for them.
They are the big focus, they are the big goal, not that I wasn’t trying in these ones, I’m ready for the Senior tomorrow, looking forward to it.”
Michael Dunlop – on clinching four wins this week with Italian machinery (Ducati/Paton).
“It’s been good, the Paton is probably the only bike I’ve come here knowing, obviously riding it from years gone past, really excited, the boys are excited, the teams excited, let’s see what tomorrow brings.”
