Roadhouse Macau by FHO have announced that they will have an expanded presence at TT 2024, having signed Eoin O’Siochru to compete alongside fellow countryman Brian McCormack.
McCormack who will once again have help from reigning Senior race Champions FHO Racing and Faye Ho, has a brand new M1000RR BMW at his disposal for the 1000cc races.
Supersport, Super Twins encounters wise, like new team-mate O’Siochru it’s 765 Triumph prepped by PHR (Peter Hickman Racing) Performance, RS660 Aprilia tackle.
One of a select group of racers to lap 128 mph plus, around the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, Waterford’s McCormack stated the following about TT 2024.
“Last year’s TT went ok for me but I’m looking for more in 2024. I had some solid, consistent results but things didn’t really click for me.
It wasn’t through the lack of trying and with 2022 not being great either, I’m delighted to have everyone’s support again and be heading back this year with new machinery.”
The aim is top 10 finishes like we got in 2018 and 2019. Last time on the TT Course was at the Manx Grand Prix where I had a good race and was challenging for the podium on the Classic Superbike, so I’m confident we can get back in the top 10 at the TT.”
He went onto add:
“I don’t like to set goals, but I know where I need to improve so hopefully, I’ll get it all together this year as the TT is the main event of the year for both the team and me.
Our whole season is built around it, so with both Ciaran [Carruthers – owner of the Roadhouse Macau bar] and me looking to bring in a second rider, that’s what we’ve done.
Eoin fits the bike perfectly and goes about his racing the right way, with a good head on his shoulders. He’s proven himself on the Irish roads and has made good progress at the Manx Grand Prix, so it’s great to have him on board.”
Upcoming TT first timer O’Siochru, eleventh, thirteenth from the Super Twin Manx GP races of 2022 and 2023, stated his delight at joining the Roadhouse Macau by FHO squad.
“I spoke to Brian for the first time properly at last year’s Manx where he was a great help.
He must have kept an eye on my performances over the week because we kept in contact after that, and then on New Year’s Day I got a message from him asking if I wanted to join the team and, to be honest, I thought it was a bit of a joke! But it’s all gone from there.”
“The TT’s been an absolute dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and when I first visited the Island and saw the bikes go by, I knew it was what I wanted to do.
The package that Brian’s putting together is impressive so getting to do the TT this year with a team as professional as Roadhouse Macau and with an experienced rider as Brian is something that I can only have dreamed of, and I’m still pinching myself now trying to believe it’s true! I just can’t wait to get going.”
Roadhouse Macau by FHO, team-owner Ciaran Carruthers added:
“We’re looking forward to another exciting year supporting Brian, and we’re especially looking forward to the TT with the addition of Eoin.
I’m thrilled to see the Roadhouse Macau by FHO Racing team expand and grow, and I really think 2024 is going to be a good one.”
