New wave roads scene talent Marcus Simpson, is the latest confirmed Mountain Course newbie for the 2023 TT Races.
One of the leading newcomers across the 2022 roads season, he finished second in the final Irish road race Senior Support Championship standings, helped by ultra-competent displays which included victories at Faugheen and Skerries.
Overall Anglesey Grand winner, ‘Spartacus’ additionally caught the eye at Billown with top moments including a Pre-TT Classic rostrum finish and top ten placing in the Southern 100 Solo Championship.
Set to open his 2023 real roads campaign at Cookstown, Simpson who is also North West 200 bound, maiden TT tilt sees him respectively aboard Atherstone Accident and Repair Centre Yamaha, LMR Racing Kawasaki machinery.
Commenting via a recent TT Races press release about taking on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, he said:
“There aren’t any expectations from anyone in my debut year and I can be anonymous, just going out in each session doing my own thing and putting in as many laps as possible.
My aims are simple, to qualify for all my races, to finish all of them and to enjoy myself.”
