Reigning Irish road-race Supersport Champion Michael Browne, enjoyed a splendid first racing stint in New Zealand, excelling at the final classic festival meeting at Pukehoke Park Raceway.
Aboard the same ES2 Norton (Peter Grantham Lodge) that he took to third in last year’s Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix, the Cork racer showcased again a deft touch aboard yesteryear tackle.
The second day of competition at Pukehoke Park Raceway, which sadly will close soon, would see Browne seal successive class victories.
Quickest Oliver’s Mount newcomer in 2021, Browne leads BE/RK (Burrows Engineering-Richardson Kelly) Racing’s pure roads charge across 2023, piloting ex TAS Racing M1000RR BMWs.
Returning to the topic of NZ racing, this weekend the Honda Invercargill-street races take centre stage.
