The Boyce Precision Engineering/Russell Racing squad will boast one of the strongest, most talented Supersport category line-up’s at TT 2023, with 2013 Lightweight race winner James Hillier joining 2019 Senior race victor Dean Harrison.
Like Harrison, Ringwood’s Hillier will have high-calibre YZF R6 Yamaha machinery, at his disposal for the Monster Energy Supersport encounters.
In total to date 14 times a TT podium finisher, ‘Dynamite’ is no stranger to front-running Supersport performances.
Supersport race 1 runner-up in 2019 to Ashcourt Racing’s Lee Johnston, the following 600cc encounter saw him finish under eight seconds behind outright lap record holder, first time middleweight class conqueror Peter Hickman.
Confident of re-capturing the form from four years ago, when on Kawasaki tackle, the off-road, tarmac, road racing adventurer recently stated:
“It’s good to be back on the Yamaha again as it’s clearly one of the strongest packages in the class at the moment.
I’m looking forward to getting working with the team and with Dean, it’s actually the first time I’ve ever had a teammate in the Supersport class and I’m sure we’ll all work hard to get the best from the bikes.”
