TT 2022: West Issues Positive Update After High-Side Incident

Post an incident last night at Laurel Bank, which resulted in red flags arising around the Mountain Course, the corresponding Sidecar practice session to be cancelled, Street Diner Racing’s Sam West, has issued a positive update and is optimistic about competing in the Milwaukee Senior race.

Speaking via Facebook, West who has impressed many with his pace, application, skillset during opening practice sessions, stated:

“Well last night didn’t go to plan, was sixth fastest in Superbike after 2nd lap but had a little off on the exit of laurel bank.

Just a silly high-side, completely my fault rushing to work through some traffic, unfortunately the bike then set on fire and the session had to be red flagged.

Really sorry to all the sidecar guys who missed their laps, hope everyone gets good track time this evening!

I’m not too badly injured and its still 10 days till the Senior so I’m hoping to get back out again if I can find a bike!”
