Ten Questions Challenge – Trevor Matthewson

Strangford Holiday Park Racing team owner, 13th in the opening Lightweight race of August’s Manx Grand Prix, all round great road racing backer Trevor Matthewson is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News worldwide popular, ten questions challenge.

28th within last years Ulster GP Super Twins encounter, his answers to the popular series of questions are as follows:

Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?

“Favourite national road has to be the Bush, it was my first road race and how I survived beats me to this day.”

Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?

“Do have limited experience but I’d find it hard to replace my K8 GSXR 1000 factory Suzuki bike.”

Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?

“I guess the best thing about racing on the roads is the variety and the challenges it brings.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?

“Never done the TT or North West 200, though I’ve been there many times playing different roles so I’ll have to go with Ulster GP.”

Q5: Most Respected Rival?

“Any man or women that rolls onto the start line has my utmost respect, as they all have demonstrated some serious courage and commitment.”

Q6: Best roads moment thus far?

“This years Manx GP is the best but I say that every year, that place (Mountain Course) just keeps on giving.”

Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?

“Something like the Macau GP but closer to home with guaranteed sunshine would be nice.”

Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?

“Joey (Dunlop) for his racing ability but also for what he did away from racing.”

Q9: Supersport or Superbike?

“Superbike, we all want to go faster.”

Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?

“Fastest lap, always makes good reading.”
