Winner, runner up in the Supersport races of last years Cemetery Circuit Races, additionally from last boxing day an excellent third within the showpiece Robert Holden Memorial Feature race, Wellington’s Shane Richardson is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News worldwide popular ten questions challenge.
A prominent competitor at the world famous Daytona 200 meeting, his answers to the popular series of questions are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“Cemetery Circuit, as it’s the only roads event I’ve really done.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“My current Kawasaki ZX10R.”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“The feel for the speed with everything so close to you.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“I’d have to say the TT just because what the event is. I haven’t attended either of them yet so I can’t fully say.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Damon Rees, we fought week in week out in the 2017 national championship, raising the bar everywhere.”

Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“2017 Cemetery Circuit Races, finishing 3rd in the Robert Holden memorial race on my ZX6 against the Superbikes, also unofficially becoming the fastest 600 around the circuit in the process.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“I’d like to see more in New Zealand, maybe some in the bigger cities. In this day and age I don’t see it happening but a boy can dream.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Would have to be Anstey (Bruce), although I have a lot of respect for all those boys.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Superbike”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“We get a point for pole at home, so I’ll take that.”
