Amongst the 20 seeded competitors for the RST Superbike and Pokerstars Senior races, at TT 2018, Market Rasen’s Phil Crowe is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
One of the most improved international road racers of recent years, his answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows:

“The TT by far, there’s nothing else like it in the world.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“BMW S1000RR”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“Best part of competing on the roads, is the diversity of the challenge. The high speeds, the bumps, jumps etc.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“The TT, as a roads circuit racing at 10 second intervals, brings for me the best chance for success. Although I am good at battling in races on fast road circuits, because of my weight I am always going to end up at the back of pack, in a drag race on the long straights.
There is only so many riders you can overtake in a lap, before the pack passes you on the first straight, it’s game over, getting held up by folk who are only fast in a straight line.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Each and everyone of them, bar the few idiots that don’t show any respect in return, no one ever became big making others feel small.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Lapping the Mountain Course at over the 128 mph mark, at TT 2017, and being a seeded rider for TT 2018.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Market Rasen to Caistor to Horncastle, to Wragby to Market Rasen, or a variation of those roads.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Not really got one, but I would like to spend some time with John McGuinness and pick his brains, with regards to circuit knowledge.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Superbike for sure, it’s the only one that will pull me up the Mountain (Mountain Course), without backcogging.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“Fastest lap for sure, if your the fastest, your the fastest!”
