Twice a top eight finisher at last years Spring Cup National Road Races at Oliver’s Mount, Skelmersdale’s Grant Gaskell who’s set to tackle the Mountain Course for this time in August at the Manx Grand Prix, is the next rider to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
Another ambitious next gen roads competitor, his answers to the popular series of questions are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“Toss up between Cookstown and Aberdare Park.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“Favourite bike would be any from the 500 two stroke era.”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“Paddocks are friendly, the atmosphere at events and the circuits are more enjoyable to race on.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“Not one any of them yet, but am doing the Manx GP this year, I think the TT is top of the list.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“I get a lot of abuse off Andy Hayes, were pretty similar speed wise, so yep I’ll say Andy.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Probably just getting accepted as a newcomer for the Manx GP.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“There’s some nice roads in Wales.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Probably have to say Ian Hutchinson.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Have to say Supersport as never raced a big bike.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“Pole position it just looks good!”
