A collector of 19 top ten TT finishes, the highly respected Mountain Course stalwart that is Dan Stewart, is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.

The 2012 TT Privateers champion, answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows.

Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?

“I’ve never done a national road race apart from the Dundrod 150, definitely a good one if that counts.”

Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?

“2007 Yamaha R1, ran it for 2 seasons never missed a beat and had some decent results. Always enjoyed being on it.”

Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?

“Down to earth people, organisers that appreciate your participation in their event, a distinct lack of sunglasses and hair gel unlike BSB.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?

“TT need I say more.”

Q5: Most Respected Rival?

“John McGuinness because he’s so fast and smooth and knows when it’s not his day. Ryan Farquhar because he does it mostly off his own back and he’s had some great results.”

Q6: Best roads moment thus far?

“Finishing 6th in the Senior TT twice, great sense of satisfaction getting it all right on the day.”

Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?

“Cumbria, because I’d have a head start through knowing the roads!”

Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?

“Joey Dunlop and Kevin Schwantz.

Q9: Supersport or Superbike?

“Superbike, more exhilarating to ride, more challenging and I’ve always been to big for a 600 really.”

Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?

“Fastest lap, race pace is always more important.”
