A former top ten finisher at Armoy and the Southern 100, 18th in the Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix of 2016, Pilling’s Chris Watson is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
His answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“For me it has to be Armoy! I’ve only had the chance to compete here once in 2015, but it is an unbelievable roads course to race. I would love to have another go at it in the future.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“My favourite racing bike has to be my current R6 Yamaha, which was built by the legend, the late Ian Bell.”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“It’s definitely all about the speed. Roads give you a buzz you cant get on the short circuits! Also the atmosphere at the meetings is amazing.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“The Ulster! I’ve never managed to get there but I would love to race at this meeting, in years to come.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Everyone who’s out there competing. I respect them all.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Competing over the last four years at the Southern 100. It was always one of my goals to race at this meeting.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Definitely here in Lancashire. There are some fast flowing roads which would make great road races.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“There’s two for me, Ian Lougher and Roy Richardson. Both are true legends.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Supersport. I’ve not had the chance to ride a Superbike, as of yet!”

“Fastest lap”
