Third within the Lightweight 400 race of last weekends Enniskillen Road Races, overall a very creditable eighth in last years Irish road race 400 championship, Ballybogey’s Aaron Boyd is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
The 400 specialist answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“It’s a tie between Armoy and Walderstown, love them both.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“Favourite bike has to be my wee 400 it’s my baby, I love my GSXR 600 Suzuki also but definitely my ZXR 400 Kawasaki even though I am a bit fat for it!”

Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“The atmosphere without a doubt and the fan’s it’s a completely different world from the circuits. It doesn’t matter if you are 1st or last, the fan’s still appreciate what we do.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“I’d best say the Ulster GP or big Noel will not be happy, but the TT no question.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Everyone on track I have the up most respect for, every single person that throws there leg over a bike to race the roads.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“It’s a hard one there have been so many, I’d have to say Enniskillen at the weekend. New track for everyone and finishing 3rd in the first ever 400 race on the track.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“There’s no place like home for road racing.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“No brainer, Joey Dunlop.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Supersport for me.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“I’d take pole position any day, as I am the world’s worst qualifier. My wee dog Bobby could do better.”
