With an immensely improved machine, new impetus, new goals, Suter are quietly confident of springing a surprise or two at TT 2018, as they return to TT competition after a year away from participation on the magical Mountain Course.
The Switzerland based company have regained the services of ten times TT winner Ian Lougher, who will pilot the outfit’s two stroke MMX 500 machine, in the RST Superbike and Pokerstars Senior races.

Runner up in the 2005 Senior TT, Welsh star Lougher established as one of the most successful international road racers, of the modern era, is hugely looking forward to competing again on the great sounding steed which produces 195 BHP.
Although he’s now a veteran racer in his mid 50’s, the twice Duke Road Race Rankings champion, has the undoubted calibre and course knowledge a plenty to call upon, to provide Suter with excellent finishes at TT 2018.
Commenting on his second TT venture with the Swiss brand, the Welshman stated:
“It goes without saying, I am excited to be racing the Suter MMX 500 again at the Isle of Man TT races. I feel that after all the hard work put in by the entire Suter team and myself, it’s very much unfinished business and I can‘t wait to go testing.
It‘s two years since our last episode together, and the engineers say that they have managed to squeeze even more power out of the engine and iron out all the niggly problems we encountered in 2016. I’m ready to go down Bray Hill and give the spectators that Two Stroke experience again.”
Founder of Suter, ex Grand Prix racer Eskil Suter added:
“Development from our initial run on the Mountain Course two years ago, has been ongoing. We are confident in what Ian will be able to achieve with the bike, in this trim!”
