A great opportunity awaits Steve Mercer at the 63rd Macau Grand Prix, as he competes for Lee Hardy Racing, on the Briggs Equipment backed and reigning Macau GP winning S1000RR BMW.
Steve has good memories from the last time he piloted BMW machinery on the roads.
Which was back in 2013, when competing under the Penz 13.com banner, one of the main highlights back then was when he finished an excellent eighth in the Superstock TT.
A prominent exponent of the Mountain Course, Triangle, Dundrod, Billown and Oliver’s Mount, he’s rated highly by many for his ability on the roads.
Returning to Macau for the first time in two years, he is extremely looking forward to linking up with Lee Hardy Racing.
The international road race winning outfit, only appearance to date this year on the roads, was at the North West 200 with Alastair Seeley, who went onto record third and fifth place finishes in the opening Superstock and Superbike races.
Having had an extremely impressive TT 2016 campaign, which included lapping not far off the 130 mph mark, Steve Mercer goes into Macau, in a positive frame of mind, knowing he has the pace and the tools of his proven BMW mount to secure a world class result.
