Eight times Scarborough gold cup winner and current gold cup winner Guy Martin is back at Oliver’s Mount to defend his gold cup crown. Guy has shown great form at this years Southern 100 and Ulster grand prix and will look to continue this form at the Scarborough gold cup when competing for the Tyco Suzuki by TAS team.
4 times in a week TT winner this year Michael Dunlop is competing at this years Scarborough gold cup for his own Michael Dunlop racing team. Michael will be aiming to get back on the podium in the feature Scarborough gold cup having last achieved a top 3 finish in the Scarborough gold cup race back in 2008.
Michael is competing on a CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade and has being the standout road racer this season at the international road races. TT heroes John Mcguinness and Bruce Anstey both line up at this years Scarborough gold cup for the HM Plant Honda by Padgetts motorcycles team.
John Mcguinness won his 20th TT race this year and there’s no doubt that John has every chance of winning the Scarborough gold cup for the second time this year, having previously won the gold cup back in 1999 when competing for the Vimto Honda team. Bruce Anstey has achieved podium finishes this season at the Isle of Man TT, North west 200 and most recently at the Ulster grand prix proving Bruce is in top form going into this years Scarborough gold cup.
William Dunlop is entered in the 125,250 and 600 races at this years Scarborough gold cup. William’s being in great form this season in the supersport 600 races and will start as one of the favorites in the 600 races at this years gold cup when competing on the CD racing R6 Yamaha.
2012 Ian Watson spring cup winner Steve Mercer is entered in the superbike races at this years Scarborough gold cup. Steve is competing for team traction control on a GSX-R 1000 Suzuki.
Ivan Lintin won his first international road race at this years Ulster grand prix by winning the super twins race. Ivan’s being in good form all season and is looking forward to the 2013 Scarborough gold cup competing for the Taylor Lindsey racing team on a CBR 600 Honda in the supersport races and a ER6 Kawasaki in the super twin races.
James Coward recently achieved a superb 3rd place finish in the 500cc classic TT race meaning James goes into this years Scarborough gold cup confident of achieving top results. James is competing for the RJP racing team on a CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade in the superbike races whilst in the supersport races James is competing on a R6 Yamaha for the Barnes racing team.
