Southern 100 organisers, Southern 100 Racing are optimistic that the showpiece Billown event will take place in 2021.
The news that one of the Isle of Man’s premier road races is still set to take place, is music to the ears of racers, teams planning their 2021 racing activities.
Organisers have stated though that competitive action is dependent upon Covid-19 related factors improving.
Southern 100 racing also added that prospective entrants, marshals, officials, race fans are urged to make sure that there travel plans are fluid and can be refundable if the S100 doesn’t take place from the proposed event dates of 12th-15th July.

Alongside the Southern 100 it’s worth also reminding that a decision on whether the Manx Grand Prix, Classic TT Races will take place next year, will be decided in March.
Road Racing News are currently running a poll asking will next August mark the return of competition around the fabled, mythical Mountain Course.
At present from the votes counted thus far, 58 percent of the voters believe the Manx GP/Classic TT won’t take place, whilst nigh on 42 percent of the voters believe they will.
