Lapping just a shade under the 108 mph lap mark, Ulster GP lap record holder Dean Harrison won a pretty evenly matched three rider battle, for Southern 100 Supersport qualifying honours.
Harrison’s times sheet topping lap time of 2 minutes 21.972 seconds, equating mph wise to 107.778 mph, placed him 0.712 clear of lead pursuer this evening, PreZ Racing’s Jamie Coward (2.22.684).

Coward widely tipped to secure on Wednesday, Thursday Super Twins race successes, was closely followed on the timing screen’s by 19 times TT winner Michael Dunlop (2.22.819), who’s steadily this week building up his pace around Billown.
Triple Manx GP winner Michael Evans (2.25.310) edged out Davies Motorsport’s Dominic Herbertson (2.25.312), for fourth place in qualifying, whilst Chris Preston/Toyo Tires supported Nathan Harrison (2.25.560) lead the local racer challenge, finishing an impressive sixth quickest.
Rounding out the ten quickest qualifiers tonight were DTR backed Sam West (2.26.490), Rob Hodson (2.26.637), Irish Road Race Super Twins Championship leader Michael Sweeney (2.27.534) and reigning Senior Manx GP runner up Stephen Parsons (2.27.694).
