Michael Dunlop was victorious in the opening superbike race today at the Skerries road races. Michael competing on his Honda Fireblade superbike lead throughout to finish 3.41 seconds in front of second place finisher Derek Shiels. Michael Pearson recorded an excellent third place finish on the team Hotties Thermal packs racing team SR1000 BMW whilst Davy Morgan finished in a good fourth place in front of fifth place finisher Jamie Hamilton.
Derek Mcgee, Alan Bonner and John Walsh finished in sixth, seventh and eighth places whilst William Dunlop was the leading supersport 600 rider home finishing in ninth place. Michael Sweeney, Seamus Elliott, Andy Farrell, Alan Connor, William Davison and Alan Kenny rounded out the top 15 in a exciting superbike race.
