Skerries road races news

Ryan Farquhar took another four wins in a day at the Skerries road races yesterday on his Kawasakis. William Dunlop won the open race on the Wilson Craig racing Honda with  brother Michael in second on his Honda with John Burrows in third place. For the grand final race Ryan Farquhar won after a race long tussle with Michael Dunlop with John Burrows finishing in third place with Derek Shiels, Jamie Hamilton and Davy Morgan rounding out the top 6. The 600 race saw Ryan Farquhar win again from Michael Dunlop in a race which saw William Dunlop slide off whilst in contention for the win, William dislocated his shoulder so therefore won’t be fit in time for the Southern 100 but will be ready for the Ulster Grand Prix.

Derek Shiels took third in the 600 race ahead of Michael Sweeney, John Burrows and Adrian Archibald. Ryan Farquhar won his 4th race in the day in the 650 mini-twins race in his race where his protégee Jamie Hamilton pushed him the whole race to finish in a brilliant second place, Michael Sweeney took third position ahead of John Burrows. So overall a good days racing and now we look ahead to the Southern 100 where Ryan Farquhar and Michael Dunlop will be joined in battle by the likes of Guy Martin, Conor Cummins, Ian Lougher, Russ Mountford and Ivan Lintin.
