Michael Dunlop won a closely fought grand final race today at the Skerries road races. Michael competing on the his Honda Fireblade superbike set a new lap record in holding off second place finisher Derek Shiels who recorded a excellent second place finish. Davy Morgan came home in a great third place in front of leading supersport 600 rider in the race William Dunlop.
Jamie Hamilton and Derek Mcgee rounded out the top 6 whilst Alan Bonner achieved a good result on his Honda Fireblade superstock bike finishing in seventh place. Michael Sweeney, John Walsh and Andy Farrell completed the top 10 in a record breaking grand final race at Skerries which saw another scintillating performance from Michael Dunlop.
