The upcoming Sidecar encounters at Hengelo, which once again host the opening round of the International Road Racing Championship from the 5th to the 6th of May, have been in recent days given an injection of true world class quality, with Tim Reeves/Mark Wilkes confirmed to venture to the Netherlands most famous roads course.
Gaining additional track time ahead of TT 2018, seven times world champion Reeves/lead Sidecar TT newcomer of 2017 Wilkes, will be in competition at Hengelo alongside notable competitors such as another ex world champion in the form of Bennie Streuer who’s set to link up next month with Gerard Daalhuizen.

Outside of the all star three wheeling field, solo stars to watch in the IRRC Superbike/Supersport classes at Hengelo, include Didier Grams, Czech roads great Marek Cerveny, Laurent Hoffmann, Pierre Yves Bian plus local heroes Johan Fredriks, Joey Den Besten, Ilja Caljouw and Marcel Zuurbier.
Not forgetting event newcomers, Penz 13 BMW’s Danny Webb and Jamie Coward, who’s progress around the fast, flowing Varsselring course, will be monitored closely.
Alongside the IRRC classes, there’s also next month at Hengelo, BeNeCup Superbike, ONK Sidecar, Camathias Cup, NK Classics and BeNeCup Supersport races, plus two stroke machines, also enjoy representation.
