By The first leg of the super twin Phil Mellor Trophy brought victory for Dean Harrison on the Printing Roller Services Kawasaki ER6 the same bike which took him to a 12th place finish in the lightweight TT race this year. By the end of the 8 lap race Dean was comfortably in front of another rising star on the roads circuits Ivan Lintin. Ivan who has had a fantastic season on the roads this season in particular at the TT where he finished 7th in the lightweight TT race was again showing his continuing upward spiral on the road race scene finishing second in the Phil Mellor Trophy race on his Kawasaki ER6.
Third place in the Phil Mellor Trophy race went to the evergreen Ian Lougher. Ian riding the Stewart Smith racing Kawasaki ER6 is still riding as good as ever and this was proven again in this race. Davy Morgan finished in a superb fourth place on the CMS racing Kawasaki ER6 to add to the race win he had in the earlier race of the day the Lee Pullan 250 race on his Honda RS250.
