Scarborough Gold Cup 2013 – Latest News

Ivan Lintin produced a superb performance to win the opening super twins race at this years Scarborough gold cup. Ivan competing on the Taylor Lindsey racing ER6 Kawasaki was victorious by a reasonable margin over second place finisher Dean Harrison competing on the Stewart Smith racing ER6 Kawasaki. James Cowton finished in a consistent third place on the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall super twin.

Ian Bell was victorious in the opening sidecar race at this years Scarborough gold cup. Conrad Harrison finished in second place whilst Carl Fenwick came home in a superb third place.

Michael Dunlop won a brilliant 250 race at this years Scarborough gold cup after a race long battle with William Dunlop and Ian Lougher. Michael competing on the Cookstown/Burrows engineering RS250 Honda edged out his brother William Dunlop who set the fastest lap of the race on the MD racing RS250 Honda. Ian Lougher finished in a consistent third place, Ian is competing for the last time at Oliver’s Mount this weekend, Ian has won over 130 races at Oliver’s Mount over the years.

One of the races of the day on the opening day at this years Scarborough gold cup was the 125 race which saw Chris Palmer and Ian Lougher battling it out for victory. Chris Palmer just beat Ian Lougher to the line to win a fantastic 125 race, for Chris its his 98th Oliver’s Mount win, Chris is retiring after this years Scarborough gold cup meeting.
