Scarborough Gold Cup 2012 notes 2

  • Dean Harrison took the overall Phil Mellor Trophy super-twins 650 race with race victory in the 2nd leg of the event on the Printing Roller Services Kawasaki ER6. Ivan Lintin took second place with third place going to Craig Shirlaw, whilst finishing in 4th place was Davy Morgan.
  • Michael Dunlop scored a podium finish during his first weekend of racing on a sidecar outfit finishing second in the third leg of the national F2 sidecar races at Oliver’s Mount.
  • William Dunlop took race victory in the 2nd leg of the Lee Pullan 250 Trophy races but overall victory went to Phil Harvey who finished second in both of the 250 races to gain a popular overall win.
  • Chris Palmer edged out Ian Lougher to win once again the 125 Stu Reed Trophy races, 3rd place went to Seamus Elliott whilst fourth place went to circuit newcomer Sam Wilson.

    Hi Stevie,

    Just to let you know we are looking at the site……..Good to see ya at Olivers Mount. I should have at least come away with a race win for my efforts…Full wets in that last race didnt help after a couple of laps……..or well the Lee Pullan trophy means a lot to me and my family because I hung around with Lee when our Dads raced each other years ago on sidecars and Lee was my inspiration for the strokers. If we can offer any feedback on the site we will, be back, keep that keyboard going. Cheers Phil Harvey #26
