Colin Dunlop Racing’s Sam Johnson is Skerries bound this weekend, having recently had a mixed Scarborough return, at the Cock O’The North Road Races.
Showing accomplished form, the Brigg based rider, was quickly back into the groove at Oliver’s Mount, qualifying sixth, for the Super Twin races.
The first leg of the Super Twin encounters, red flagged after four laps, saw Sam finish an excellent sixth, leading the Suzuki challenge, against the dominant ER6 Kawasaki’s.
Second 650 encounter of the weekend, would see him secure another highly creditable result, this time eighth, again finishing leading Suzuki mounted competitor.
Reflecting on Sam’s Scarborough results, the Colin Dunlop Racing team, stated via their Facebook page:
“So that’s Scarborough done and dusted and with a couple of good results on the twin.
These ER6’s seem to be getting quicker every time there out but we’ll keep plugging away, first Suzuki home in both races so we can’t feel to bad about that.
The 600 just not playing ball at the minute but she’l be sorted for the Skerries. Massive thanks to Signs NI for a loan of their van for the weekend and of course all our sponsors for keeping the wheels turning.
Well done to Sam “keep up the good work”
