Despite track conditions at times been difficult, challenging, the standard of racing across the 2024 Wirral 100 Motor Club series opener at Anglesey oozed foremost captivating entertainment.
Leading the roads scene brigade (solo competitors) were Sebden supported Aaron Spence and Manx GP podium finisher, Gordon Huxley Racing’s Jonathan Perry.
Anticipated Northwest 200 newcomer next month Spence, enjoyed a quite memorable day’s racing, clinching three wins from four race starts.
Whilst twice top fifteen TT finisher Perry, sped to Pre-Injection class triumphs plus took a well deserved second place finish in the opening Carl Roberts/Emjess Racing Powerbikes race.
Southern 100 winner, Cookstown 100 Grand Final podium finisher Richard Charlton joined Perry, Spence in Easter Monday’s winners circle, winning the sole National/Pre-National Open encounter.
Seventeen times TT winner Dave Molyneux, new passenger Jake Roberts placed P6, P3 from the Sidecar races whilst added current generation, next generation roads scene participants tackling Anglesey included:
Oliver’s Mount regular John Marsh, Maria Costello MBE, Liam Thornton, Billown course ace Adrian Kershaw, Barry Furber, Mike Norbury and Julian Trummer, having his first outing astride Dave Hewson’s Obsession Engineering team’s RS660 Aprilia, which he will pilot at TT 2024.
