A potentially historic year of motorcycle racing on the Isle of Man, began in earnest on Easter Sunday at the Jurby Airfield circuit (anti-clockwise configuration).

‘Tommy Club’ member Marcus Simpson, bulked up his roads season prep in astral fashion, mopping up a six pack of race wins.

Bob Smith Spring Cup bound, ‘Spartacus’ aboard machines including the LMR Powered by Jon Cuff Electrical Kawasaki, MGB Racing yesteryear Kawasaki Superbike which he will ride at Scarborough, vaulted to successive Supersport, Super Twin, Post Classic category victories.

Top non-Kawasaki exponent in last year’s Junior Manx Grand Prix, Marc Colvin, joined Simpson in scoring back-to-back wins, commanding the Singles Twins & Triples combined class.

Additional prominent IOM Mountain Course speedsters, sampling the flowing, unrelenting Jurby course included Paul Cassidy, Jamie Cringle (third, second Open 1300cc Solo races) and Ryan Crowe/Callum Crowe.

The three wheeling Southern 100 lap record holders comfortably vaulted to spoils in the opening Sidecars race, which featured just two crews!
