Without doubt one of the top performances within yesterday’s Wirral 100, Oulton Park meeting was via 2019 Steve Henshaw Gold Cup runner-up Mike Norbury.
Back in racing mode for the first time since TT 2022, Norbury astride his recently acquired ZX-6R Kawasaki, was quickly back into the swing of things.
The sole Anglesey Vans Open Challenge/Pre-National Open combined race saw Norbury, embroiled in a tight contest for P1 honours.
At the race’s finalisation, the Manchester rider took the victory spoils, finishing 0.319 ahead of 65 plate carrier Adam Smith.
Super Twins wise, Ben Rea led the real roads scene challenge, obtaining second place finishes.
Fellow Manx Grand Prix winner, Ballymoney’s Darryl Tweed, reminded everyone of his prowess aboard 400cc machinery, by scooping multiple class triumphs from the 100-500cc Allcomers races.
Overall winner in both races was 2011 TT Privateers Champion, Ian Mackman, with top pursuer times two been Pre-TT Classic podium finisher, TT 2023 exponent Chris Moore.
