Road Racer’s Adventures: British F2 Sidecars, Oulton Park
Located close to Cheshire, Oulton Park hosted the latest rounds of this year’s ACU FSRA (Formula Sidecar Racing Association), British F2 Sidecars Championship.

Quickest newcomer driver at TT 2023, Daryl Gibson joined by Rhys Gibbons, emerged victorious from the opening eight-lap race, which also yielded third, fourth place finishes for fellow recent TT participants, Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden, Green Ant Racing’s Dan Knight/Ben Hughes.

Race two proceedings saw East Yorkshireman Gibson/Gibbons place second, 17.133 behind second quickest TT driver/passenger partnership in TT history, FHO Racing’s Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley.

Founds/Walmsley’s success was made all the more remarkable, given that they had to start near the back of the grid, after issues during the aforementioned, opening three wheeling race stint.

The Ramsdens Steve & Matty, bagged another third-place finish, as they warmed up nicely for next weekend’s Olivers’ Mount Cock O’The North meeting.

The FSRA F2 Championship scene rolls on now to one of Wales leading purpose built racing venues, Anglesey, with competition across the 29th-30th of July weekend.
