Road Racer’s Adventures: Wirral 100 Anglesey Grand Meeting

Various esteemed, respected, high level International Road Racing exponents were in action this weekend at the Wirral 100 run Anglesey Grand meeting.

Leading names competing included TT Privateers Champion Jamie Coward. Hebden Bridge’s Coward who has enjoyed a stellar 2019 roads tenure, powered to opening Pre-Injection/Forgotten Era combined race success plus banked a top three placing within the first Carl Roberts/Emjess Racing Powerbikes encounter of the weekend.

Others to enjoy prodigious feats at Anglesey included Junior open runner-up, final Super Twins race victor, Newcomers A Manx GP rostrum finisher Alun Brooks.

Up coming Manx roads competitors Frankie Stennett, Matt Mylchreest, Paul Cassidy all showed solid, accomplished form throughout Saturday, Sunday’s competitive action.

Same notion applied to Junior/Senior Manx GP winner Nathan Harrison, Manx GP stalwart Marc Colvin, popular Welsh competitor John Bain, Southern 100 specialist Adrian Kershaw, former Newcomers Manx victor Ben Rea and Bishop Castle’s Barry Furber.

We mustn’t forget as well the three wheeling stars who sampled the fast, flowing, technical Anglesey course, which included the dominant pairing of three times top six TT finisher’s Lewis Blackstock/Patrick Rosney.
