Under two weeks since his record breaking, history making exploits at Whanganui, Mitch Rees continued his race winning streak at round three of the New Zealand Superbike Championship at Euromarque Motorsport Park.
Rees bested Moto 2, World Supersport race winner Anthony West in the opening SBK race stint whilst following big bike encounters would see ex works, Moto GP Kawasaki rider West turn the tables, collecting successive victories.
Outside of Honda powered Rees, NZ street racing aces turning on the style this weekend, pocketing wins, rostrums, above average results included to name but a few:
Supersport front runners Luca Durning, Rogan Chandler, Tony Rees, Newcomers Manx GP podium finisher Ben Rosendaal.
Jonny Lewis, Nick Southerwood, Seth Devereux, and F1/F2 Sidecars victors times three, Barry Smith/Stu Dawe.
Quick bit of trivia now about the Templeton located Euromarque Motorsport Park.
The fastest ever lap in race conditions around the just past, two miles long circuit is held by none other than IndyCar racing legend, Scott Dixon.
