Johannes Schwimmbeck and the MTP Racing squad, opened their 2024 competition accounts in plentiful fashion at a recent testing event in Andalucia, Spain.
Jockeying, S1000RR BMW tackle, new wave German roads exponent Schwimmbeck lapped sub 1 minute 58.5 seconds, registering a best lap time of 1:58.291 seconds.
Third quickest overall in front of TT winner, twice Steve Henshaw Gold Cup victor Lee Johnston, Schwimmbeck ended the three-day test, 0.9 faster compared to a previous test session from 2022.
Fifth within last year’s IRRC Superbike Championship, he is eagerly awaiting the 2024 edition of Europe’s premier real roads series.
Same as at Andalucia, Schwimmbeck is BMW mounted for IRRC 2024 stints, which reminder commences in May at the Netherlands top pure roads venue, the Hengelo based Varsselring.
