2023-2024 New Zealand Superbike Championship competition, concluded in more than adequate style for a selection of the Southern Hemisphere’s top street racers.
This includes of course Cemetery Circuit Races lap record holder Mitch Rees. As throughout all Championship rounds, Rees was in fine form astride 1000cc Honda tackle.
Second to Anthony West in the NZ TT race, the prior eight, six lap Superbike encounters saw the one plate holder P1 times two.
Notably on route to opening race spoils on Saturday, he set a blistering new lap record of 1 minute 33.871 seconds.
2017 Newcomers B Manx Grand Prix runner-up Ben Rosendaal, attained a brace of 650 Pro Twin class successes whilst additional street racing alumni on the race winners list, at Hampton Downs included:
Triple conqueror of the Post Classic & GP 2-Stroke class Daniel Mettam, Adam Unsworth/Bryce Rose (Sidecar NZ TT winners), Barry Smith/Stu Dawe and Rogan Chandler, first in the inaugural Damon Rees Memorial Supersport race.
