Road Racer’s Adventures: NG Road Racing Round 5, Castle Combe

Located near Chippenham, the acclaimed Castle Combe circuit was the host setting for the latest NG (North Gloucester) Road Racing meeting of 2023.

Aberdare Park specialist, JHS Racing’s William Holland banked a quadruple of race victories, attained in total six podium finishes.

TT 2023 participant, former Newcomers Manx GP winner Chris Moore astride his trusty TZ 250 Yamaha mount, sealed a top three finish within the final 250 GP ACU National Championship race.

Last month, a real roads newcomer at Oliver’s Mount Scarborough, Arthur Gissing swept up a brace of top three finishes, after competition in the concluding Clubman 600 encounters.

Gissing’s esteemed team-mate, top six TT finisher, Classic TT rostrum finisher Jim Hind was also circulating around Castle Combe as was Welsh ace Michael Rees.

The remaining NG Road Racing rounds of the year potentially featuring more roads scene favourites, take place at Anglesey (19th-20th August) and Cadwell Park (9th-10th September).
