The fourth Wirral 100 Motor Club organised meeting of 2023, hosted by the Anglesey Coastal circuit featured a series of renowned real roads, TT exponents. This included FHO Racing’s Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley.
Founds/Walmsley, the second fastest Sidecar team in TT Races history, illustrated their class over the weekend, proving the driver/passenger combination to beat in the ACU British F2 races.
Victorious times two, top challengers in the second 16-lap three-wheeling encounter, were the father/son pairing of Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden.
Third from the prior ACU British F2 race, the Ramsdens are having an excellent season on both the roads and short circuits.
Quickest newcomer driver of TT 2023, Daryl Gibson joined by Rhys Gibbons, a recent Oliver’s Mount debutant alongside Conrad Harrison, scored top five finishes.
Heading the closed roads charge in the solo races was AS Racing Club Supersport race victor times three, MKM sponsored John Marsh and Mistral Racing’s Joe Yeardsley, class winner twice from the Carl Roberts/Emjess Racing Powerbikes encounters.
Yeardsley, yesteryear Superbike race winner during May’s Pre-TT Classic event, next race outing sees him join the Mountain Course racers fold, tackling the 100th Anniversary Manx Grand Prix.
