Stepping up pre-TT, North West 200 prep, KTS Racing Powered by Steadplan’s Coward enjoyed a highly prosperous two-day racing stint, finishing no lower than second in all races finished.
Dominant within the Super Twins class, speeding to a hat-trick of victories, Hebden Bridge’s rapidest pilot, finished second times three in the Powerbike encounters, post close tussles with No.1 plate carrier Max Symonds.
The opening Phoenix Open encounters additionally saw the 2019 Lightweight TT runner-up, having to give second best to the aforementioned Symonds.
Coward’s fellow Supersport TT seed Jim Hind, continued his consistent progress astride 1000cc machinery (Bass Tyre Services Suzuki), taking second from the third, final Phoenix Open race.
Added Scarborough, Irish roads, Mountain Course regulars speeding around Castle Combe included Chris Moore, Gary Vines, Steve Moody, TT starts record holder Dave Madsen Mygdal.
Jay Bellers Smith, Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams, 2018 Newcomers B Manx Grand Prix victor Michael Rees, Justin Collins and 2021 Cookstown 100 Grand Final winner Forest Dunn.
Powerbikes race two runner-up the following class encounter, saw Dunn’s Castle Combe adventure end in spectacular fashion, via a 135 mph + incident.
Emerging relatively unscathed, Dunn’s IRRC series debut looms soon at Hengelo, racing R1, R6 Yamaha’s for Never Be Clever Racing.
