Portugal’s most recent TT Races exponent Andre Pires showed true grit, tenacity in abundance to register a third successive FIM Enel MotoE World Cup points finish at Catalunya.
Starting from 18th and last on the grid, Avintia Esponsorama Racing’s Pires battled his way by the conclusion of yesterday’s six lap race to a respectable 13th.
This result puts him now equal on points with Kevin Zannoni and Fermin Aldeguer, 15th on countback in the 2021 MotoE Championship standings.
A top 55 finisher within the 2016 Superstock TT, Pires next electric Grand Prix outing sees him Netherlands bound, tackling the world famous Assen Circuit.
Dutch TT race action gets going on the 27th June, the same time as feature race day at the Barry Sheene Classic at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough.
