Many of Irish Road Racing’s biggest talents enjoyed an excellent weekend’s racing at the latest Dunlop Masters Superbike Championship round at Mondello Park.
Fresh from taking Open class honours at Cookstown, triple Irish Road Race Superbike Champion Derek Sheils was in excellent form again aboard the Roadhouse Macau BMW.

Runner-up in the opening Dunlop Masters Superbike races, Sheils went onto to get the better of Richie Ryan within the third, fourth 1000cc race stints.
Fellow countryman Michael Sweeney secured four successive Super Twin victories whilst new BE Racing In Conjunction with Richardson Kelly Racing signing Michael Browne also scooped a quadruple of victories, in the ever highly competitive Supersport class.

Aside from Sheils, Martin Jones Racing’s Sweeney, Post TT Races Supersport victor Browne added esteemed roads exponents collecting strong results included the following:
Super Twins front runner, reigning Irish Road Race Junior Support Champion Vinny Brennan, Barry Sheehan, Ryan Maher.
Stephen Tobin, Multi Manx GP rostrum finisher Dave Butler and TT Races newcomer last year, Ray Casey.
