Road Racer’s Adventures: Darley Moor Championships, Round Three
Fresh from scoring a top twelve finish at TT 2023, Green Ant Racing’s Dan Knight/Ben Hughes lit-up Sunday’s Darley Moor Sidecar encounters.

Victorious times two, Knight/Hughes are now just seven points behind, present Darley Moor Formula 600 Sidecar Championship leaders, top chasers yesterday, Howard Baker/Mike Killingsworth.

In terms of solo race action, North West 200 winner Richard Cooper made a welcome return to the 2.41 kilometres long, Darley Moor circuit.

Warming up for the next F900R BMW Cup rounds, Cooper was aboard the series leading FHO Racing mount.

Despite a power disparity compared to those astride 1000cc machinery, he still captured no less than three top five finishes, including taking third in the second Ben Godfrey Trophy race.

Sam Johnson, due to compete for VRS Racing at the 100th Anniversary Manx Grand Prix, bagged top three finishes.

Mark Goodings opened his post TT 2023 racing itinerary in solid fashion, taking top five placings whilst added competitors known for dabbling with roads scene stints, racing included Richard Eglin, Jim Barnett and Mike Mace.
