Road Racer’s Adventures: Cooper’s Seventh Stars At Darley Title
Former National Superstock 1000 Champion Richard Cooper, demonstrated again across the past weekend at Darley Moor, his formidable racing skillset.

Reunited with North West 200 suitors Buildbase Suzuki, Cooper showed relentless consistent form, on route to claiming an unprecedented seventh overall Stars At Darley title.

Commenting via Facebook about the latest foremost chapter of his racing career, he stated in succinct, enthused fashion:

“Buildbase Suzuki turned out a perfect bike for me to ride and claim my 7th title. Becoming the most successful rider in history around there.

Thanks for everyone who came and showed their support over the weekend it was a great turn out for the club.”

Top chaser to the quickest NW200 newcomer in history, providing tenacious opposition was BSB pilot Leon Jeacock whilst third was TT legend, Honda Racing’s John McGuinness MBE.

Wigan’s Josh Daley, Cookstown 100 podium finisher Richard Charlton, who both enjoyed success in the Open Solos category, respectively placed fourth, sixth.

Last weekend also proved momentous for Doncaster’s Mark Goodings, becoming the 2022 Open Solos Darley Moor Champion.

Added seasoned, up coming real roads forces competing included Stephen ‘Degsy’ Degnan, Jim Hodson, Andy Whale, Nigel Rea and Super Twins front runner, impressive Manx GP newcomer in August, Albert Walker.
