Ahead of tomorrow’s Honda Invercargill Street Races, a selection of New Zealand’s top road racing talents enjoyed ideal preparation by sampling the Burt Munro Challenge incorporated Teretonga Sprint Races.
Cemetery Circuit Races legend Tony Rees, proved peerless within the F1 Superbike races.
Rees whos’ son Mitch took the feature race crown at Whanganui back in November, respective winning margins from the eight-lap big bike encounters were 8.491, 10.185 seconds.
Top pursuers to Honda pilot Rees were respectively Aaron Scott and Isaac Markham Barrett.
Andrew Rudd secured back-to-back Super Motard victories whilst yesteryear machinery specialist Vince Burrell also joined the race winner’s circle.
Others to excel included Bears F1, Formula 3 pace setter Jonny Lewis, Heath Botica, Chris McMeeken, Terry Galway and Supersport races runner-up Luca Durning.
Reminder pure road racing 2023 style, officially kicks off tomorrow at the above showcased Honda Invercargill Street Races.
