The nineteenth racer to take part in Road Racing News, recently launched Racing on the Irish Roads – Racers Recollections series is prominent 125, yesteryear steeds exponent, Germany’s Chris Meyer.
His answers to the Irish road racing themed set of questions, are as follows:
Q1: What is your first Irish road racing memory?
“The warm welcome at Armoy in 2017, when I noticed that there’s no plug-in for the electricity and we had no generator. Instantly some guys helped me out.”
Q2: Present favourite Irish road race?
“Tandragee I would say although I haven’t found the right-line around there yet.”
Q3: Who is your most respected fellow Irish roads exponent?
“Derek McGee”
Q4: If you could alter one aspect, in particular, within the sport, what would it be and why?
“I would give more practice time to every class.”
Q5: To date what has been your favourite Irish roads moment?
“Finishing P3 in the 125/Moto 3 race at Armoy this year.”
Q6: Irish road racing summed up in one word, what would it be?
“Challenge”
Q7: Is there any Irish roads event, that you haven’t raced at yet that you would like to?
“Loads of events I’ve never done that I would like to race, see what the future brings.”
