PRL Racing’s West, Czech Roads Legend Cerveny Add Further Depth To Macau GP Entry

Dark horses in my opinion for at minimum top six finishes, PRL Racing’s Sam West and Czech roads legend Marek Cerveny, like all racers on the 2019 Suncity Group Macau Grand Prix entry list, add their own unique touch of prodigious proven race craft to the 27 strong field.

Runner-up within this year’s IRRC Superbike series, Wepol Road Racing’s Cerveny, last November at Macau wrapped up a very respectable 11th place finish, along the way recording a best lap time of 2 minutes 30.536 seconds.

Looking forward to returning to International roads competition next month, the amiable Cerveny as throughout recent Guia Circuit tenures will pilot one of BMW’s acclaimed S1000RR mounts.

Fellow S1000RR BMW mounted competitor Sam West, as in 2018 has quietly impressed many in 2019 with his pace at selected closed roads events.

Three times a top 15 finisher at TT 2019, July’s Southern 100 saw him acquire a rostrum finish, whilst his maiden Armoy Road Races tenure would yield four top ten finishes, including a solid eighth place finish within the showpiece ‘Race of Legends’.

As aforementioned, former TT Privateers Championship runner-up West and twice IRRC Supersport Champion Cerveny, are both extremely capable of banking top six finishes at Macau.

Determined, calm under pressure, good team players and of course more than a touch quick, they have all the attributes required to take home next month, first rate results from Macau.
