Prize of Krizevci – Croatia’s Monte Carlo Preview

Nagrada Krizevaca (translated as ´Prize of Krizevci´ abroad) is a traditional road race meeting in Croatia at ‘Gornji Grad’ – 0.932 miles long street circuit, nicknamed as ´Croatian Monte Carlo’, with more than 40 years history.

The popularity of road racing in Croatia increased this year after Loris Majcan’s TT Races campaign. Loris was declared top solo newcomer of TT 2024.

Last year during qualifying around Krizevci he set an unofficial record lap time of 48.709 seconds. He is also the Supersport lap record holder, having lapped in 2023 at 48.849 seconds.

Joining Majcan in excelling last year at Krizevci included 1000cc, 600cc race victors Luka Nervo and Ivan Visak.

Very famous participants of Krizevci road races in recent years were also for example Martin Vugrinec (IDM and EWC rider) or Renato Novosel (former European Superstock 600 exponent).

Post Croatia’s Monte Carlo, the following weekend sees another roads scene event in Croatia, the Luka Brod street-circuit, Slavonski Brod located Brod Open meeting.

Outright lap record for this event is above showcased TT 2024 RST Star of Tomorrow award winner, Loris Majcan, thanks to a lap time of 50.734 seconds from 2023.
