Pre TT Classic: Coward Acquires Greystones LLC Senior 500 Crown

Doubling his tally of victories at the 2019 Blackford Financial Services Pre TT Classic Road Races, two times TT Privateers Championship runner up Jamie Coward scooped in style this afternoon, the Greystones LLC Senior 500 crown.

Victorious by 13.43 seconds, Coward’s route to race honours was made all the more clear once Ireland Honda’s Alan Oversby dropped out of contention on lap five.

Prior to retiring, Oversby involved in a tight, keenly contested front running battle with Coward, had set a blistering new class lap record of 2 minutes 41.743 seconds.

Following his retirement, this elevated Davies Motorsport’s Dominic Herbertson into second place, as Billown course debutant Dean Stimpson clinched the final spot on the podium alongside Herbertson and Craven Manx Norton mounted Coward.

Steadplan Primus Racing’s Ben Rea banked fourth, Meredydd Owen was fifth, whilst Will Loder also quietly impressed in finishing sixth.

Rounding out the top ten finishers were Bob Owen, Dave Matravers, Keith Clarke and local favourite Jack Hunter.

Additional racers to complete the eight lap race were Steven Elliott (11th), Keith Dixon (12th), Gary Hutton (13th), Antony Nicholls (14th), Ian Bainbridge (15th), Ian Thompson (16th), Arthur Browning (17th) and Neil Lloyd (18th).
