Equipped with new CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade Honda tackle, France’s second swiftest Northwest 200 exponent Eddy Ferre is ultra-enthusiastic about 2025 roads scene contests, stating he “can’t wait to try the new bike.”
Set to compete again for Optimark Road Racing, Ferre’s road race season begins in May at the aforementioned Briggs Equipment Northwest 200, before a second TT Races voyage.
Ferre, who is additionally eyeing up the IRRC Chimay meeting, made a quick, accomplished Mountain Course racing debut in 2023, finishing top newcomer in the Senior Manx Grand Prix race, when competing for Wilson Craig Racing.
His first TT project in 2024 proved equally prosperous with five bronze replica finishes, finishing no lower than 26th in all four-stroke races finished.
Ending race week, boasting a striking new personal best lap speed of 125.093 mph, he now stands as France’s third fastest TT racer of all time, only topped currently by Amalric Blanc (127.078 mph) and Optimark team-mate Jonathan Goetschy (126.642 mph).
One to watch this spring, summer, Ferre is firmly part of a new talented breed of French roads aces, all keen to strike through their intended racing targets.
